Job Description
We are looking for an organised, reliable and proactive Administrative & Reprographic Assistant to join our busy school team at Ratton School.
This is a varied and practical role, providing an essential reprographics and administrative service to staff across the school and, where required, supporting other schools within the Trust. You will play an important part in ensuring that teaching and administrative teams have the resources, information and support they need to operate effectively.
The role includes producing a wide range of high-quality printed materials, including worksheets, examination papers, certificates, timetables, posters, programmes and reports, as well as providing binding and laminating services and maintaining reprographics equipment. You will also support the Business Hub with a range of administrative and financial duties, including data entry, record keeping, processing invoices and maintaining accurate financial and departmental records.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

As part of the role, you will also provide reception cover when required, acting as a professional and welcoming first point of contact for students, parents, visitors, contractors and staff. You will help ensure that the school remains a safe and secure environment by following appropriate safeguarding and visitor procedures.
We are looking for someone who is highly organised, accurate and confident using Microsoft 365, with excellent communication skills and the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines. Experience of reprographics, administration, finance or working within a school environment would be advantageous, but we are equally interested in applicants who can demonstrate the right skills, attitude and commitment.
Safeguarding is central to everything we do, and the successful candidate will share our commitment to promoting and protecting the welfare of children and young people. You will be expected to work with discretion, professionalism and integrity and to undertake relevant safeguarding training.
If you are a practical, adaptable and conscientious individual who enjoys a varied role and takes pride in delivering a high-quality service, we would be delighted to hear from you.
