Administrative Services Officer (Administration) – Administrative Services Department – Head Office (Ref: 968)
Deadline: Noon on 5 October 2026
Salary: £54,499 pa rising to £61,913 pa after successful completion of the probationary period. There are no set hours for this position, and the postholder will be expected to be adaptable and flexible to meet the needs of the job. The postholder will be required to live within 50 miles of Head Office. Overnight stays may be required.
Location: Head Office, Salford Quays, M50 3XZ. Please note that this position is fully office based.

Principal Duties:
Under the general direction of the Head of Administrative Services, to manage and develop staff, working to ensure the provision of a strategic and comprehensive administration service to the Union, with a particular focus on elections and event management, reception, archival, and digital document and content management services.
The Successful Applicant Will Possess:
- Detailed understanding of Union rules and government legislation relating to ADM, conferences, elections, and campaigns
- Detailed understanding of records management practice and UK Data Protection legislation
- Experience of staff management, training and development, particularly within office/PC-based working environments
- Leadership and people management skills, including delegation and coaching
- Strong organisational, planning, and prioritisation skills
- The ability to produce complex written materials, including reports and statistical data
