Overview
Land Administrator & Business Support Assistant at BJB Land & Development
The Land Administrator role will be to support the BJB Land Team in growing the business across the Butters John Bee branch network, covering Staffordshire, Shropshire, and south Cheshire. The department deals with all aspects of Residential Development opportunities but focuses mainly on the sale of land, either by Auction, Informal Tender, or Private Treaty. The successful candidate will join an existing team of two surveyors and one Graduate Surveyor and will provide office-based support and be the focal point of enquiries when the team are out of the office on appointments. The role is a blend of administrator, office manager, marketing executive, receptionist, and PA.

- Annual earnings of £30,000 (annual salary will be pro-rata if part time)

Duties
- Day-to-day Office Administration, including the upkeep of customer data, work files, and various Excel databases.
- Marketing Administration – including emails, prospecting letters, LinkedIn posts, liaising with the national marketing team.
- Auction Administration, including liaison with the BJB Auction Team and Client’s solicitors.
- Managing initial telephone enquiries with potential new clients and setting up appointments.
- Managing telephone enquiries regarding land lots being marketed.
- Liaising with external contractors – e.g. Board erecting company.
- Research New Home sales data via internet searches.
- Attend the monthly BJB Auction team meetings and work-related events as required.

Essential Requirements
- Be highly organised and computer literate (Excel, Outlook, as well as specific property-related software - where training will be given).
- Have excellent communication skills with a good telephone manner and be able to handle a wide range of telephone queries.
- Have a good sense of humour and a thick skin as the land market is not for the faint-hearted.
- Be able to work with the minimum of supervision and prioritise effectively.
- Be confident and have excellent attention to detail.
- Have a flexible approach to getting the job done and a good work ethic, supported by valid references.
No previous experience in estate agency is required as ongoing training will be given.
