Charity Description:

Help Bristol’s Homeless is a charitable organisation focused on providing practical support and pathways to stable housing for people experiencing homelessness in Bristol. The organisation works closely with local partners, volunteers, and community groups to create safe, supportive environments for individuals in need. It aims to offer dignity, respect, and long-term solutions rather than temporary fixes.

As a Project Administrator, you will be part of the PMO, sitting within various platforms. These functions include Finance, Project Support, Security, Training, Health and Safety, Facilities, Marketing and Communications, and Knowledge Management.

DBS Check required.

Working Hours:

21 hours per week / 3 days

Pay Rate:

£14 an hour

Person Specification:

  • Strong self starter
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Motivated and passionate to work with our charity
  • Proactive team member
  • Enjoy working as part of a team but also able to manage own time and workload.
  • Excellent organisation skills, ability to prioritise, attention to detail.
  • Work in line with the values of our charity, being supportive, approachable, responsible, reliable, and personable.
  • Strong communication skills with both individuals and large groups, serving both the public and corporate sector.
  • Excellent computer knowledge and office software, including Google Docs, Sheets, Pages, Excel, Graphs, PowerPoint, internet, intranet, and database.

  • Provide high-level administrative support to the CEO, Project Manager, Project Coordinators, and Project Team with a full range of reception, administrative, and basic office activities.
  • Ensure smooth running of the PMO.
  • As the first point of contact for enquiries, you’ll demonstrate a professional and welcoming manner to all those who visit, live, and work on our project.
  • Attend weekly project meetings.
  • Maintain document control.
  • Reception duties including emails, telephone services, and appointment scheduling.
  • Undertake other ad hoc tasks and projects as assigned by the Project Manager.
  • Play an active and supportive role within the organisation.
  • At ease dealing with people and tasks at different levels.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality in relation to any work undertaken and ensure all confidential material is stored according to HBH’s Confidentiality Statement and Data Protection Policy.
  • Treat all staff, residents, and visitors fairly and without prejudice, in line with HBH’s Equality and Diversity Policy.
  • Be aware of the correct procedures for dealing with any suggested incidences of safeguarding concerns and to follow them, in line with HBH’s Safeguarding Policy.
