Due to our continued growth, Hird Ltd is looking for a Receptionist / Hire Administrator to join our busy Hire Department at our Hull depot.

Hird Ltd is a forward-thinking business specialising in mini crane hire, powered access, glass lifting, material handling, and contract lifting, providing innovative lifting solutions and expert support to our customers.

The Role:

As the first point of contact for our customers and visitors, you'll play an important role in supporting our Hire Department and helping to keep our busy office running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answering and directing customer calls in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Welcoming visitors and providing a positive first impression of Hird.
  • Supporting the Hire Department with day-to-day administration.
  • Processing paperwork accurately and maintaining organised records.
  • Assisting colleagues to ensure the smooth running of the office.
  • Providing excellent communication and support to customers and the wider team.

About You:

We're looking for someone who is organised, approachable, and enjoys working in a busy, fast-paced office environment.

Essential:

  • Previous reception experience.
  • Strong administration and organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and a professional telephone manner.
  • A positive attitude with good attention to detail.
