Technical Administrator 📍 West Midlands | 💰 £30,000–£35,000 + Benefits
Do you enjoy bringing structure and organisation to complex engineering projects? Are you experienced managing technical documentation within an engineering or manufacturing environment? Looking for a role where you'll become the go-to person for document control across a growing engineering business?
I'm supporting an established engineering manufacturer in the West Midlands as they look to recruit a Technical Administrator.
The business designs and delivers engineered products and solutions to customers across the global energy sector. With a turnover of approximately £30 million, they're continuing to invest in their people and processes, making this an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative and growing organisation.

The Opportunity
You'll take ownership of document control across the business, ensuring technical documentation is accurate, compliant and delivered on time.
Working closely with Engineering, Projects, Procurement and Manufacturing, you'll become the central point for document management throughout the project lifecycle.
What You'll Be Doing
- Generate, review and issue engineering and project documentation.
- Manage technical drawings, purchase orders, quality documentation and project records.
- Coordinate document submissions to customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Maintain document control systems, ensuring version control and traceability.
- Support continuous improvements to document control processes and procedures.
About You

- Experience in Document Control, Technical Administration or Project Administration.
- Background within engineering, manufacturing, construction or another technical environment.
- Strong organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Confident working with engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- Proactive, collaborative and able to manage multiple priorities.
