Job Description

About us

Fusion, the process that powers the sun and stars, is one of the most promising options for generating the cleaner, carbon-free energy that our world badly needs. UKAEA leads the way in realizing fusion energy, partnering with industry and research organisations to achieve ground-breaking advancements. Our goal is to bring fusion electricity to the grid by developing the power stations of tomorrow and the skilled workforce to deliver them.

About the job

Join UKAEA's Estates team and help support the effective delivery of the Estate Development Control (EDC) process. As an EDC Administrator, you'll play an important role in coordinating applications, maintaining accurate records and ensuring documentation is managed efficiently throughout the approval process. Your work will help keep estate development activities compliant, well organised and running smoothly, supporting UKAEA's mission to deliver sustainable fusion energy.

What You'll be Doing

  • Provide administrative support for the Estate Development Control process, ensuring applications are processed in line with established procedures.
  • Log, track and monitor EDC applications, maintaining accurate records and visibility of progress.
  • Maintain EDC documentation, digital filing systems and databases to ensure information is accurate, accessible and audit-ready.
  • Manage drawings, permits and documentation within the Common Data Environment (CDE), ensuring version control is maintained.
  • Monitor application timescales, highlighting overdue actions and escalating issues where appropriate.
  • Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, record actions and support follow-up activities.
  • Manage shared inboxes and respond to EDC-related enquiries, directing requests to the appropriate teams where required.
  • Support compliance by maintaining audit trails, performing routine data quality checks and following document control procedures.
  • Liaise with internal teams, project stakeholders and contractors to support the smooth coordination of EDC activities.
  • Provide administrative support for system-related tasks across the wider Estates team.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
