Gastro Band 3 Administrator
We have an exciting opportunity that has come up in the Breast Administrative Team. We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join us as a Gastro Band 3 Administrator.
About the Role
The aim of the role is to provide comprehensive administrative and/or coordinative support to a team, department, or service, ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of patient care and/or operational functions. The role involves facilitating smooth processes, managing information, and communicating effectively with various stakeholders, often acting as a key point of contact. An essential part of the role is the ability to manage and prioritise own workload without direct supervision.
The Breast Band 3 Administrator will manage tasks for the administration department, coordinating with other departments as necessary. Duties include:
- Handling health record requests
- Diary management
- Typing letters and reports
- Note-taking
- Operating a bring forward system
- Preparing agendas and associated papers
- Conducting financial and personnel tasks like processing invoices and payroll

The admin team ensures efficient service delivery, supporting clinical and managerial teams by:
- Answering phones
- Taking minutes
- Data entry
- Managing diaries
- Other administrative tasks
The post holder will also:
- Book medical appointments using an electronic system
- Communicate with patients via email and telephone
Responsibilities include:
- Providing effective administrative support
- Working flexibly within the team
- Contributing to system efficiency
The role requires multitasking in a busy environment, working independently, and supervising Band 2 Admin Support staff.
