School Administrator

SEN School | Purley

Temporary to Permanent Opportunity

£17.00 - £20.00 per hour (DOE)

Monday to Friday | 8:00am - 4:00pm

We are currently recruiting for an experienced School Administrator to join a welcoming and supportive Special Educational Needs (SEN) School based in Purley. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated administrator seeking a long-term role with the potential to become permanent.

The Role

As School Administrator, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day running of the school office, ensuring efficient administration and providing excellent support to staff, pupils, parents, and external agencies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing the school's reception and administrative functions
  • Maintaining accurate pupil records and attendance data
  • Using Arbor for student information management and reporting
  • Supporting admissions, enrolment, and leaver processes
  • Handling correspondence, emails, and telephone enquiries
  • Managing school documentation and filing systems
  • Assisting with safeguarding and compliance administration
  • Supporting senior leadership with general administrative tasks
  • Liaising with parents, carers, staff, and external professionals

Requirements

  • Previous experience working in a school administration role is essential
  • Experience working within an SEN school or educational setting is highly desirable
  • Strong working knowledge of Arbor is preferred
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a busy school environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
