Company Description

Murraywood Construction Ltd, founded in May 1996 and based in St. Helens, Merseyside, is a well-established and experienced groundworks contractor. The company has grown significantly from an initial turnover of £1.5M to exceeding £24M in its best year, reflecting sustained business expansion. Operating predominantly across the North West of England and North Wales, Murraywood delivers building and civil engineering groundwork projects of varying scale and complexity. The organization is known for its long-standing presence in the sector and commitment to quality delivery in challenging construction environments.

Role Description

The Administrator will support the smooth running of daily office and project administration across the North West. This is a full-time role based between sites and our head office in St Helens. This role covers a broad range of tasks, the successful applicant will play an important role in supporting our site teams with the day-to-day running of projects, while also providing wider administrative and business support across all departments.

You must be comfortable working in a fast-paced construction environment, confident dealing with people at all levels, and willing to get involved wherever support is needed. This is a hands-on role where no two days are likely to be the same.

We are looking for someone who is organised, reliable and proactive, with the confidence to work both independently and as part of a wider team.

Key Requirements

  • Strong organisational and administrative skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • A proactive approach and willingness to get involved.
  • Comfortable working in both an office and construction site environment.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, as travel between sites will be required.
  • Ideally a CSCS Card but can complete once started if necessary.
  • Preferably Admin Experience.
