Job Description
We are seeking to appoint a dedicated and organised Administrator to join our administrative team to assist in delivering a smooth, efficient, and welcoming service.
In this varied role, you will be the central administrative contact for school events, key communications, staff recruitment logistics, and front-of-house reception duties. The successful candidate will have experience of working in a busy office environment, good ICT skills, excellent written and oral communication skills and be a self-motivated team player.
Key Responsibilities:
- School Communications & Events: Coordinate content for the termly school newsletter. Manage and update the whole-school calendar, and oversee administrative logistics for school trips, parents' evenings, and clubs.
- Recruitment: Provide administrative support for staff recruitment, acting as a primary point of contact for candidates, scheduling interviews, preparing candidate packs, and coordinating interview day logistics.
- Office Administration: Deliver front of house service for parents, visitors, and staff. Maintain manual and computerised pupil records on the school Management Information System (MIS) securely.

Prendergast Vale School is a small all-through school providing high quality education from nursery to Year 11, which aims to transform the lives of all the children who attend the school. By keeping the school small, we have created a community of pupils and teachers where no pupil is left behind which has enabled us to create an environment in which pupils want to learn, achieve and behave well.

Hours:
- 35 hours a week, 9.00am - 5.00pm, term time only i.e. 39 weeks, including 5 inset days.
Salary:
- Scale 4, (point 8-10), £33,515 - £34,488 (pro rata)
