6 Months Contract with a Local Authority

Umbrella - £15.53 per hour - Umbrella

Job Purpose

As an Administrator (Minute Taking), you will provide essential support within Children's Services through the production of accurate records from statutory meetings, including Child Protection Conferences, Child in Care Reviews, and safeguarding meetings. This is a detail-focused role requiring strong listening, transcription and administrative skills.

Key Duties/Accountabilities

  • Listen to recorded statutory meetings and produce accurate minutes.
  • Attend statutory meetings when required and record actions, decisions and outcomes.
  • Produce high-quality reports in line with safeguarding procedures.
  • Update internal systems, including Liquidlogic.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Liaise with Social Workers, managers and external agencies.
  • Manage confidential and sensitive information.
  • Support Child Protection and Children's Services processes.
  • Attend team meetings and contribute to service delivery.
  • Ensure documentation is completed to required deadlines and standards.

Essential Experience Required

  • Previous Minute Taking or Transcription experience.
  • Strong Administration or Business Support experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience preparing professional documents and reports.
  • Good IT skills including Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Experience working with confidential information.
  • Experience within Children's Services or Safeguarding environments is desirable.

Additional Information to Note

  • Working Hours: 22.2 hours per week.
  • Working Pattern: 3 days per week.
  • Flexible hours available:
    • 08:00 - 16:00
    • 08:30 - 16:30
    • 09:00 - 17:00
  • Locations: Kettering, NN16 0SW, Northampton, NN1 1ED
  • Remote working available after training.
  • Equipment provided for home working.
  • Weekly virtual team meetings.
  • Monthly office meeting attendance required.

Supplier Submission Deadline: 12th November 2026.
