About The Job
We are seeking an experienced Administrator to join our team on WPS's largest contract to date, delivering planned and responsive maintenance services on behalf of a major Birmingham council partnership. With a secured programme of works spanning over 10 years, this is an exciting opportunity to become part of a high-profile project that will make a lasting impact on local communities.
This is a fast-paced role that will sit at the heart of project delivery, supporting operational teams, managers, and clients through accurate administration, reporting, and coordination. The successful candidate will have exceptional attention to detail, remain composed under pressure, and have previous administration experience within construction, social housing, maintenance, property services, or a similar environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to operational and management teams across planned and responsive maintenance workstreams
- Manage project documentation, records, and correspondence, ensuring information remains accurate and up to date
- Process works orders, purchase orders, invoices, and subcontractor documentation
- Maintain compliance records, certifications, and project trackers
- Coordinate meetings, appointments, and diaries for operational teams
- Produce reports, spreadsheets, and project updates for internal and client stakeholders
- Support the mobilisation and ongoing delivery of programmes across multiple workstreams
- Handle incoming enquiries professionally and efficiently
- Ensure all administration is completed accurately and within required timescales

Scope of Works
Projects Will Typically Include a Mix Of
- Responsive repairs and maintenance
- Planned maintenance programmes
- Kitchen and bathroom refurbishments
- External refurbishment works
- Roofing works and associated repairs
- General property upgrades across occupied social housing stock
Essential Criteria
- Previous experience in an Administration role within construction, social housing, maintenance, property services, or a similar sector
- Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- A professional and composed approach when working in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Experience maintaining records, reports, and project documentation
- Ability to work effectively as part of a wider operational team
Desirable
- Experience working on planned maintenance or responsive maintenance contracts
- Knowledge of social housing environments
- Experience using housing, repairs, or construction management systems
- Previous experience supporting high-profile client contracts
