Administrator, Blantyre / Hamilton Area – Office Based
Salary: From £28,000 per year plus Benefits
We’re looking for an Administrator to join the growing HR team of our client in the manufacturing industry. This is a great opportunity for an experienced administrator looking to develop a career in HR and payroll. You don’t need extensive payroll experience — what’s most important is that you are organised, accurate, confident with systems and keen to learn.
Payroll is outsourced, so you won’t be responsible for running payroll from start to finish. Instead, you’ll be responsible for preparing and checking payroll information, processing changes and working closely with our external payroll providers to ensure everything is accurate and completed on time.

You’ll support payroll administration across the UK, US and Asia, including:
- Preparing and checking monthly payroll information
- Checking timesheets and calculating overtime, bonuses, commissions, allowances and expenses
- Processing starters, leavers, salary changes and other amendments
- Working with outsourced payroll providers to meet deadlines
- Reviewing payroll outputs and resolving discrepancies
- Responding to employee payroll queries
- Maintaining accurate records and payroll documentation
Alongside payroll, you’ll gain valuable experience across the wider HR function, including:
- Employee onboarding and offboarding
- Contracts and HR documentation
- Holiday, absence and benefits administration
- HR systems, reporting and employee data
- HR compliance and GDPR
- Supporting HR projects and process improvements

We’re particularly interested in hearing from strong administrators who are looking to move into HR and payroll. You may already have experience in HR, payroll, finance or general administration, but full payroll experience isn't essential as training will be provided. We’re looking for someone who has excellent attention to detail and accuracy and strong organisational and administration skills. If you’re an organised and capable administrator looking for the next step into HR & Payroll, this could be an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a growing business.
