About The Team & Role
Gloucestershire County Council is seeking an enthusiastic Administrator to join our busy Education Business Support Team (EBST) within Children’s Services. We are a thriving, supportive and inclusive team that prides itself on its ability to work closely with, and provide business support services to, a range of operational teams within the Education Directorate. In this role, you will be the backbone of our operations, working as part of a collaborative team and liaising with a range of internal and external customers and partners to provide high-quality business support.
From managing statutory panel meetings and maintaining critical school and information systems to responding to complex queries, your day-to-day efforts will ensure that frontline educational services run seamlessly. The post is based in Shire Hall, Gloucester, however, this group of administrators also works together from the Cheltenham office once a week where the service area they support is based and holds their team meetings.
About You
What we are looking for:
- Experience of attending and minuting multi-agency meetings and panels, extracting and completing follow up actions for cases both virtually and in person.
- Strong foundational experience, working collaboratively to provide continuous business support across a range of local and statutory processes within a large team.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to liaise with schools, parents and partners and signpost customers.
- A high standard of digital literacy, specifically using Office 365 programs, CRMs, Umbraco, Capita, Liquid Logic, Jadu.
- The ability to stay calm under pressure, prioritise conflicting demands with your colleagues, and meet statutory deadlines.
- The desire to improve processes using digital innovation and tools.
