Administrator – Hazardous Waste
Location
Site-based, Waterside business park, Cardiff CF3 2EQ
A quick look at the role
We're looking for a highly organised and proactive Administrator to join our Hazardous Waste Site team. This is a key support role that helps keep our operation running efficiently by ensuring accurate administration, maintaining compliance records, and delivering excellent customer service.
If you're an experienced administrator with strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we'd love to hear from you.
As Site Administrator, you will:
- Accurately confirm work undertaken on a daily basis to support revenue generation.
- Scan and upload site paperwork to the central system each day.
- Input data accurately to produce hazardous waste returns and maintain site compliance.
- Answer, direct and manage incoming telephone calls professionally, providing an excellent customer experience.
- Maintain site filing systems to company standards.
- Contact customers to confirm vehicle attendance appointments.
- Produce weekly, monthly and quarterly reports to support operational and compliance requirements.
- Work closely with Customer Service and Regional Operations teams to resolve queries and ensure information is accurate and up to date.
- Support the Site Manager with any other reasonable administrative duties as required.

Essential
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
- Strong administration experience in a busy office environment.
- Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Professional telephone manner with a customer-focused approach.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn, develop and adapt to business needs.
Desirable
- A Levels (or equivalent).
- Experience within the hazardous waste or waste management industry.
- Knowledge of hazardous waste documentation and relevant legislation.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
