Monday to Thursday: 8am-5pm | Friday: 8am-2pm

We're delighted to be recruiting an Administrator to join a fantastic business in Gateshead, working within their Service & Maintenance team. And honestly, the team is a real selling point with this one! You'll be joining a genuinely friendly, welcoming and down-to-earth bunch who work well together, support one another and will make sure you feel part of the team from the moment you join.
This is a stable, permanent opportunity within an established business, making it ideal if you're looking for somewhere you can put down roots, get to know your role and colleagues, and become a valued part of the team.
You'll work alongside the Service Manager and Service & Maintenance Coordinator, helping keep things organised behind the scenes with a varied mix of administration including invoices, purchase orders, engineer timesheets, system updates and general queries.
And don't worry if you've never worked within engineering or maintenance before. You absolutely don't need industry experience. If you're organised, have some good administration experience and bring a positive attitude, the team can help you learn the rest.

π» What will you be doing?
You'll provide day-to-day administration support within the Service & Maintenance department. It's a nice, varied role where you'll have plenty to keep you busy, while working alongside colleagues who will be there to support you.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Providing administration support to the Service Manager and Service & Maintenance Coordinator
- Processing and checking engineer timesheets
- Raising and processing invoices
- Raising purchase orders
- Answering telephone and email queries
- Liaising with clients regarding general administrative queries
- Communicating with engineers and helping with administration
- Updating internal systems and spreadsheets
- Inputting and maintaining accurate information
- Processing paperwork and documentation
- Keeping records accurate and up to date
- Helping the wider team with general administration
- Getting involved with other day-to-day administrative tasks as required
π Who are we looking for?
More than anything, we're looking for someone who is organised, reliable, friendly and happy to muck in as part of a team. You don't need to know everything on day one, and you certainly don't need previous experience within the engineering or maintenance industry.
Ideally, you'll have:
- Previous experience within an administration, office support or similar role
- Good IT skills and confidence using Microsoft Office
- A good working knowledge of Excel
- Great attention to detail
- A friendly, confident and professional telephone manner
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to organise your workload and manage different tasks
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- A team-focused approach and willingness to help out when needed
