Summary Of Position Purpose:
Support item transaction by maintaining item data integrity in the ERP via agreed change and release processes.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Maintaining quality item data in the ERP via change management and revision control
- Support R&D with new item creation for engineering projects and ensuring the setup of BoMs enable transaction through the business during development stages and into product release
- Review processes and tools surrounding item setup and maintenance and where possible make improvements to efficiency and quality
- Work closely with production, planning, purchasing and customer service to ensure smooth transitions of item data and physical parts through the development cycle
- Support engineering and product management functions with queries relating to item setup and release, including escalating conflicting priorities
- Where needed liaise with purchasing for item data
- Support large scale change projects which have high impact across product lines and implications for stock, purchasing and planning.
- Support the standardisation and obsolescence programme with data integrity maintenance.

Person Specification:
Knowledge
Essential
- Process driven mindset.
- Excellent attention to detail
- Microsoft Excel to intermediate level.
Desirable
- Experience with Software which calculates BOMs routings and works orders.
- NetSuite or other ERP system experience.
- Knowledge of the different part types, the differences between these part types and why they are used. E.g. kanban / issued items / inventory / non inventory / back flush / phantoms.
- Understanding the breakdown of the costs of parts.
- Understanding of production works orders and how they work within a manufacturing process.
Experience
Essential
- Confident working with computers and various software applications
- Use of emails, Microsoft Outlook
- Working to defined processes
Desirable
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Use of a system controlling business data and/or transactions
