About the Role
The Dorset All Age Eating Disorders Service are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Team Secretary who preferably has a comprehensive knowledge of NHS secretarial and administrative procedures. This is a busy position and requires the post holder to be highly organised in co-ordinating their workload to efficiently meet the needs of the service. In this role you will receive peer support and supervision sessions.
Key Responsibilities
- Joining a friendly, dynamic, professional multi-disciplinary team in a high paced environment.
- Flexible and adaptable approach with excellent multi-tasking abilities.
- Good understanding of Microsoft Office.
- Minimum of RSA/OCR II Typing / word processing qualification or equivalent.
- Working knowledge of RiO would be preferable.

- Employment Requirements: An Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of.
- Duties:
- Supporting all Eating Disorder clinical staff by undertaking administrative and clerical duties.
- Registering referrals, scheduling appointments, typing therapists’ letters, team meeting minutes, professionals meeting minutes, and reception duties.
- Answering and appropriately directing all calls into the service.
- Providing information to patients, staff, carers, relatives, GPs, Community Health Teams, relating to appointments, patient care, service pathways and meetings.
- Organising and prioritising own routine and non-routine daily workload.
- Input into developing, organising and implementing new office procedures and systems e.g. developing/updating databases, procedures for processing referrals and general day-to-day business.
