Job Description

We are looking for an exceptionally organised, proactive and detail-focused Administrator to support the successful delivery of our Skills Bootcamp programmes.

This is a varied role sitting at the heart of our Skills Bootcamp provision.

You will help us make sure that our learner records are accurate, learners remain engaged, funding claims are supported by the right evidence, and important deadlines are never missed.

This is not simply a paperwork role.

We need someone who enjoys taking ownership, keeping track of lots of moving parts and making things happen.

You will maintain learner records, monitor participation and progress, keep in touch with learners, respond to queries and work with colleagues and external training providers to make sure information is accurate and up to date.

You will also play an important role in our funding and compliance processes. This will include collating evidence, preparing funding claims for Essex County Council, supporting invoicing and maintaining a clear picture of how much funding has been claimed and what remains outstanding.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Alongside this, you may complete attendance registers, arrange examinations, coordinate careers appointments for unemployed learners and provide other administrative support to our Adult Skills provision.

We Are Looking For Someone Who

  • Is exceptionally organised and accurate
  • Enjoys working with data and detailed information
  • Takes ownership and follows tasks through to completion
  • Spots what needs doing and acts on it
  • Is confident contacting learners and chasing outstanding information
  • Can manage competing priorities and fixed deadlines
  • Has strong IT skills, including Excel
  • Enjoys solving problems and improving processes
  • Communicates confidently and professionally
  • Works effectively with different teams and external partners
  • Takes pride in producing work to a high standard.

Previous experience of Skills Bootcamps is not essential. Experience within education, funding compliance, data administration or externally funded programmes would be an advantage, but we are equally interested in someone with the right attitude, initiative and attention to detail who can quickly develop their knowledge.

You will need to be comfortable working independently, but you will also be part of a busy team and will regularly work with learners, tutors, managers, external training providers and other College departments.
