Company Description

Access Cornwall is Community Interest Company that provides accessibility consultancy, audits, training and guides to help ensure that people who are disabled and neurodivergent can access all that Cornwall has to offer. Our team all have lived experience of disability and neurodivergence or caring for those who do.

About the Role

We're looking for an organised, reliable administrator to keep Access Cornwall and AAE running smoothly day to day. You'll be based on site at our St Keverne office three days a week, and you'll be the person who keeps our diaries, sales tracker, events and office in good order — the kind of role where being on top of the details genuinely makes a difference to the whole team.

Key Responsibilities

Diary, correspondence and enquiries

  • Manage diaries and book in meetings across the team
  • Monitor and respond to the general inbox, acting as the first point of contact for the organisation
  • Take calls and answer the office phone, and greet visitors at the St Keverne office
  • Send outreach emails as part of our business development activity

Sales tracker and outreach

  • Keep the sales tracker updated and accurate, logging enquiries, follow-ups and outcomes
  • Prepare and send outreach mailouts as directed

Shows, events and volunteers

  • Organise shows and networking events, from booking through to on-the-day arrangements
  • Support our Marketing Manager with social media posts and monthly newsletter
  • Support the fundraising committee with organisation and admin
  • Arrange travel and venue coordination for the team

Office and document management

  • Take care of the day-to-day running and maintenance of the St Keverne office
  • Keep core business documents accurate and up to date
  • Minute meetings and produce clear reports and action points
  • Work with our bookkeeper to ensure financial records and processes are running smoothly

Qualifications

  • Strong administrative and organizational skills, including experience with record-keeping, filing, and scheduling.
  • Experience planning calendars and coordinating meetings with multiple people
  • Proficiency with standard office software (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, email, online calendars) and comfort with basic online platforms and willingness to learn how to use AI and Monday.com software.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to respond to enquiries clearly and professionally.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy when managing information, data entry, and documentation.
  • Ability to work independently on-site in St Keverne while collaborating positively with a small team and volunteers.
  • Awareness of, or interest in, accessibility, disability inclusion, and inclusive communication; lived experience or prior work in these areas is an asset.
  • Previous experience in an administrative, office, or customer service role is beneficial.
  • Willingness to learn new systems and processes and to adapt to the evolving needs of the organization.
  • Confident using or willing to learn tools like AI, Monday.com and standard office software
  • A warm, welcoming manner — this is a role where you're often the first point of contact for Access Cornwall and AAE
