About the Role

Dementia UK is looking for an Admiral Nurse Academy Support Manager to join our Admiral Nurse Academy Team on a 12-month fixed term maternity cover. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the Academy Support Team and play an integral role in ensuring our Academy learning and development activities run smoothly, including supporting the delivery of Summer School 2027.

This is a varied and autonomous role where no two days will be the same. You will line manage our Academy Administrator and Academy Learning Support Officers, coordinating the team’s workload and ensuring responsive administrative and digital support across the Academy. You’ll work closely with colleagues and Admiral Nurses, overseeing everything from the launch and maintenance of learning platforms and planning and delivery of webinars to project coordination and creation of resources.

You will oversee the effective use of Blackboard and ensure the smooth running of self-led online learning and virtual learning sessions. You’ll also manage administrative processes, troubleshoot issues, proofread resources and identify opportunities to continually improve processes and how the support team works.

Requirements

  • Experienced administrator or extensive experience in support roles
  • Strong people management, communication, and organisational skills
  • Comfortable managing a busy and changing workload
  • Proficient in using systems such as Monday.com, the Microsoft suite, and different online learning platforms
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Flexible, proactive, and quick to learn
  • Ability to lead a team while working autonomously

Benefits

  • Salary: £41,000 - £42,500 per annum
  • Contract: Full Time, 12-month fixed term maternity cover
  • Location: Remote - Home
  • Closing date: Monday 31st August at 11.59pm
