Help us bring specialist dementia support to more families in their local communities.
Our Clinics Programme, in partnership with Nationwide Building Society, is an innovative way of bringing Admiral Nurse support directly into local communities, providing face-to-face specialist dementia advice to those that need it the most. Since the partnership began in April 2024, over 7500 appointments have been delivered across more than 250 Nationwide and Virgin Money branches.
As an Admiral Nurse in our Nationwide Clinics Programme, you'll provide specialist nursing support to families affected by dementia through in-branch, face-to-face clinics across your geographical area. You'll offer practical advice, therapeutic support and expert guidance, helping families navigate the challenges dementia can bring.
We currently have two opportunities available in the South: one covering Kent and East Sussex, and the other covering Berkshire, Surrey and West Sussex.
This is a highly autonomous and mobile role. You'll typically spend three days each week delivering clinics from Nationwide branches across your area, with your remaining time focused on planning, developing and promoting the service. You'll manage your own rota and build strong relationships with local colleagues and networks to help raise awareness and ensure families know that support is available.
Key Requirements:
- Active Registered Nurse on the NMC register with a post-registration qualification or training in dementia care or a relevant subject.
- Experience working with people who have dementia and their family carers and supporters in different settings.
- Confidence to work independently, strong clinical assessment and communication skills.
- Ability to build warm and trusted relationships with families, professionals, and local partners.
- Comfortable promoting the service locally, including attending events, building networks, speaking to groups, and delivering presentations.
- Strong IT skills for using clinical systems to maintain accurate records.

- Part of a supportive national team of 18 nurses delivering clinics across the UK.

Salary: £49,387 per annum
Contract: Full Time, Permanent
Location: Remote - mobile, with extensive travel and overnight stays. Covering areas in Kent and East Sussex or Berkshire, Surrey and West Sussex
Closing date: Thursday 24th September 2026 at 11.59pm
Annual leave: 33 days (plus eight bank holidays)
