About The Role
Join our Admissions team and play a key role in shaping the journey of future students.
As an Admissions Associate, you’ll support the processing of both undergraduate and postgraduate applications, delivering a fast, fair and high-quality service that makes a real difference to applicants and colleagues across the University.
We’re looking for someone who is detail-focused, proactive, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. If you enjoy working to targets, solving problems, and putting the customer at the centre of everything you do, we want to hear from you.
In this role, you’ll be:
- Processing applications accurately and efficiently, meeting KPIs and service standards
- Delivering a seamless, supportive experience for applicants from start to finish
- Contributing to a fair, inclusive and transparent admissions process
- Supporting key University events, including Open Days, Confirmation, Clearing and Graduation
- Ensuring full compliance with key regulations, including GDPR and data confidentiality
For more details, please take a look at the role profile. We'll still consider applications even if you don't meet every single one of the requirements, so don't be put off if you don't match them perfectly.
The Admissions team currently operates a hybrid working model, with colleagues typically based two days per week in our Nottingham city centre office and working remotely for the remainder.
Please note that this arrangement may vary, and you may be required to attend the office more frequently at times, particularly for meetings, events, Confirmation, Clearing, and team away days.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
