About LCCA

At LCCA, we believe education should go beyond the classroom. Our teaching philosophy blends academic theory with real-world experience to ensure our students are career-ready and confident in their abilities. We’re now seeking a Student Success Tutor to join our progressive academic team — someone with the heart of a mentor and the mindset of a coach.

Role Summary

The Admissions Officer plays a key role in delivering a professional, accurate, compliant, and student-focused admissions service at London College of Contemporary Arts (LCCA).

The post-holder will be responsible for supporting the applicant journey from application through to offer and enrolment, ensuring that applications are assessed and processed accurately, efficiently, and consistently in accordance with LCCA's admissions policies, approved entry requirements, awarding-body requirements, and applicable UK higher education regulations and guidance.

The role requires a sound understanding of the UK higher education, admissions principles, academic entry requirements, applicant documentation, qualification assessment, identity verification, admissions compliance, and data protection.

Admissions Officer will work collaboratively across the wider Admissions function, including the Admissions Operations and Admissions Interviewing teams, as well as with other internal stakeholders.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate professional curiosity and a willingness to continuously learn, adapt to changing requirements, and develop their knowledge of higher education admissions, regulatory expectations, and institutional processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and process applications and its supporting documentations accurately and efficiently in line with admissions policies, procedures, entry requirements, and service level agreements to determine eligibility against academic, English language, identity, and other admissions requirements.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of LCCA's academic portfolio, progression routes, qualification frameworks, and academic expectations across all levels of study.
  • Apply admissions criteria consistently and make evidence-based admissions recommendations and decisions within delegated authority, escalating complex or non-standard cases where appropriate.
  • Support applicants throughout the admissions journey, providing a professional, responsive, and student-centred experience from application through to enrolment, ensuring all admissions decisions are transparent, fair, consistent, appropriately documented, and aligned with institutional requirements.
  • Process offers, conditions, and admissions outcomes accurately and within agreed timescales.
  • Conduct thorough verification of qualifications, transcripts, certificates, identity documentation, and other supporting materials using approved verification processes.
  • Identify discrepancies, inconsistencies, incomplete documentation, authenticity concerns, or potential risks and escalate appropriately.
  • Maintain accurate, auditable records of admissions assessments, verification activities, decisions, communications, and applicant outcomes within relevant systems.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of UK higher education structures, international qualifications, progression pathways, awarding bodies, validating partners, and the UK HE student admissions requirements.
  • Ensure all admissions activities are conducted in compliance with relevant legislation, regulatory requirements, and institutional policies, while maintaining the secure, confidential, and accurate handling of applicant information in accordance with OfS, UK GDPR, safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion, consumer protection, and quality assurance requirements
  • Support audits, quality assurance activities, and regulatory requirements through accurate record-keeping and adherence to established processes.
  • Collaborate effectively with Admissions Operations, Admissions Interviewing teams, academic colleagues, and other stakeholders to support efficient applicant progression and decision-making.
  • Maintain accurate data across admissions and student information systems, contribute to reporting and data quality activities, and identify, resolve, or escalate data discrepancies.
  • Support the testing, implementation, development, and continuous improvement of admissions systems, processes, policies, and applicant experience initiatives.
  • Demonstrate adaptability, professionalism, and a commitment to continuous learning, sharing best practice, improving service delivery, and working effectively within a high-volume admissions environment with changing priorities and deadlines.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
