About the Role
The Children and Families Department takes a strengths-based approach to working with each other, children, young people and families, and our partner agencies. We call this 'Our Nottinghamshire Approach'. Watch the two-minute animation to learn more.
Adoption East Midlands is seeking an enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to join its established Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT). Since its launch in April 2023, the MDT has provided innovative, trauma-informed support to adopted children and their families, bringing together specialist expertise to improve outcomes and strengthen family relationships.
You will provide consultation and support to families, social workers and other professionals, contribute to therapeutic support planning, and deliver training across Adoption East Midlands and partner agencies. The role also includes supporting the MDT's Whole School Approach, contributing to multi-agency reflection groups, and helping to deliver the Parent and Child Sensory Group for families and their pre-school age children.

- Expectation to train in BUSS (Building Underdeveloped Sensory Systems) and commit to BUSS Practicum training over several years, if not already equipped with specialist training in sensory attachment intervention (SAI)

Contract Information
- Fixed-term contract for 12 months
- Short-term funding currently, but optimistic about securing longer-term funding
- Opportunity for the successful candidate to become a valued member of the team and wish to renew their contract period
