Job Description
About the Role
The post holder will be a member of the local non-complex Adult ADHD service. This service already has nurse prescribers, on-going research and teaching in the rapidly expanding field of neurodevelopmental disorders. We are seeking good team players with excellent communication skills to join the multi-disciplinary team, primarily serving the population of Lambeth and Lewisham.
Responsibilities
- Work autonomously as an independent professional in the specialist adult ADHD service.
- Act as an experienced clinician within their own professional boundaries.
- Undertake assessment using specialist diagnostic tools.
- Provide reviews for clients with an established diagnosis.
- Act as a non-medical prescriber, skilled in diagnostic assessment.
- Initiate treatment and titrate patients to optimum dose of medication.
- Demonstrate safe clinical decision-making and expert care planning.
- Demonstrate shared decision making whilst utilising critical thinking as part of the clinical decision-making process.
- Work with the multi-professional team to meet the needs of the service users.
- Take full responsibility for their own work.
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver an effective service to those referred to the 3 Boroughs Adult ADHD and Autism Service.

About Us
- We have an active Service User and Carer Advisory Group who support us in making service improvements.
- We are one of the first Trusts to work collaboratively with our commissioners and NHS partners in providing a single point of access for all adult ADHD assessment referrals.
- We are currently piloting A.I. to support our clinicians on the diagnostic pathway.
- We also contribute to the ADHD Pan London Reference Group which seeks to share and learn best practice across all London NHS Trusts.
