About the Role
As an Audiologist you will be responsible for supporting your line manager in ensuring the clinical quality of the Adult Audiology Service, ensuring that our service users' needs are met through the delivery of high quality care.
Key Responsibilities
- Work unsupervised providing routine audiological assessment and rehabilitation to a wide range of patients.
- Participation in supervision and training of students.
- Given training in more advanced techniques and must maintain continuous professional development whilst working towards higher levels of professional competence.
- Provide routine audiological assessment and aural rehabilitation for adults.
- Providing counselling to distressed patients about their hearing loss and associated problems.
- Making decisions about the most appropriate course of treatment for the patient in their care (referring to senior staff when appropriate).
- Assist in the day-to-day running of the Audiology Service.
- Maintenance of the highest levels of health and safety.
- Maintain a programme of continuing professional development (CPD) working towards higher levels of professional competence.
- Involved in maintaining accreditation through participation in competency assessments and audits.
