Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Adult Care Assessor to join our academic team on a full-time, in-office basis. You will be responsible for assessing learners enrolled on Adult Care qualifications, ensuring assessment decisions are valid, reliable, and in line with awarding body standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Assess learner work against assessment criteria for Adult Care qualifications
- Provide clear, constructive, and developmental feedback
- Ensure all assessment decisions meet awarding body requirements
- Support learners through their qualification journey
- Conduct internal quality checks where required
- Maintain accurate assessment records
- Work closely with the internal quality assurance and academic teams
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding, equality and diversity, data protection, and professional standards
Requirements
- Hold a recognised Assessor qualification (such as CAVA, A1, or equivalent)
- Relevant experience in adult care or health and social care
- Good understanding of vocational qualifications
- Experience in assessing learner work and providing clear written feedback
- Strong communication skills
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to manage workloads and deadlines effectively
- Availability to work full-time in the office, Monday to Friday, 10:00 am to 6:00 pm

Desirable Criteria
- Experience assessing qualifications awarded by bodies such as TQUK, OTHM, or Qualifi
- Previous experience working within a vocational or further education college
- Familiarity with IQA processes and compliance requirements
