Job Description
Our adult learners have different experiences, starting points and ambitions. You will support them to succeed by:
- Planning and delivering engaging, inclusive teaching across a range of Adult Skills programmes.
- Delivering and assessing regulated qualifications and non-regulated learning.
- Supporting learners to achieve their qualifications and learning aims.
- Providing constructive feedback and maintaining accurate assessment and learner records.
- Adapting teaching to different learner needs, abilities, and starting points.
- Developing learners' confidence, resilience, employability skills, and workplace behaviours.
- Monitoring attendance, engagement, and progress and providing additional support where needed.
- Working with colleagues to maintain high standards of teaching, assessment, and quality assurance.
- Contributing to new programmes and learning resources as the Skills Hub grows.
- Working with our Employment and Progression provision to prepare learners for employment, apprenticeships, and further learning.

You may already work in Further Education or Adult Education, or as a trainer or tutor in another setting. You will have experience of teaching, training, or facilitating learning, including qualifications, employability, personal development, or vocational programmes. You should be confident assessing learner work and maintaining accurate records.
You will be engaging, motivational, learner-focused, and approachable, with the ability to adapt to different groups and support adults who may be returning to education after a significant period. You will be organised, collaborative, positive, and solution-focused, with high expectations for teaching, assessment, and learner achievement.
You will hold an appropriate teaching qualification, a relevant Level 3 qualification, and GCSE English and Mathematics at Grade C/4 or equivalent.
Experience of Adult Skills Fund provision, SWAPs, regulated qualifications, or working with unemployed adults would be an advantage but is not essential.
