An exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist

This varied role spans both our Community Team and specialist Neurological Rehabilitation Centre, providing a diverse caseload of adults with communication and swallowing difficulties resulting from stroke, acquired brain injury, progressive neurological conditions, dementia, voice disorders and dysfluency.

As part of our integrated service, which covers acute care, stroke, inpatient neurological rehabilitation and community services, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced clinicians across a range of specialist areas. The role offers excellent opportunities for professional development, clinical supervision and multidisciplinary working.

  • Manage a specialist caseload of adults with communication and swallowing difficulties across community and inpatient neurological rehabilitation settings.
  • Undertake assessment, diagnosis and evidence-based treatment of individuals with acquired and progressive neurological conditions, including stroke, acquired brain injury, dementia and other complex communication and swallowing disorders.
  • Deliver intervention through a variety of settings, including inpatient rehabilitation, outpatient clinics, home visits and virtual appointments.
  • Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams to support rehabilitation, goal setting, discharge planning and patient-centred care.
  • Provide advice, education and training to patients, families, carers and other healthcare professionals.

  • Maintain accurate, timely and legally compliant clinical records and reports in accordance with professional and Trust standards.
  • Participate in clinical supervision, continuing professional development, audit, service evaluation and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Support and supervise Speech and Language Therapy Assistants, students and less experienced colleagues as appropriate.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
