About the Role:
Adult Education College offers a large and varied programme of educational qualification courses as well as extensive community-based provision. We have a diverse, enthusiastic student community, taught, and supported by well qualified, dedicated staff. We ensure learners achieve their full potential in their learning journey.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver face-to-face and online courses to adult learners, ensuring that learning is properly structured, reflects good practice, and assessment is robust.
- Evaluate and provide continuous improvement to your teaching practice and ensure maximum attendance, retention, and achievement.
- Develop and create engaging resources, using teaching methods which promote active learning.
- Have an excellent understanding of delivering non-accredited beginner through to advanced level courses.
- Use your expertise and creativity to identify individual learning needs to design and plan lessons accordingly.
- Have proficient IT skills to use software packages and ILT to teach both in the classroom and online through Google Classroom and Meet.

Qualifications and Experience:
- A recognised generic teaching qualification, e.g., PGCE, B.Ed, DTTLS, or DET.
- Minimum GCSE English grade A* to C or equivalent and Maths grade A* to C or Level 2 Functional Skills.
- Demonstrable experience delivering languages courses.
Work Schedule:
We have part-time, permanent positions working between 2 to 16 hours per week. You'll be based at the Adult Education College, however, you'll be able to travel to a variety of settings and schools across the city. You'll be able to work outside of normal office hours, including evenings, to provide learning opportunities to a broad range of groups.

Salary: GBP26,448 - GBP28,868 per year (pro-rata for part-time, term-time hours). Career progression up to GBP30,168.
