Are you an experienced Adults Social Worker looking for your next contract opportunity within a supportive and forward-thinking local authority?
Herefordshire Council is seeking dedicated and passionate Social Workers to join their Locality/Community Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a strengths-based service, supporting adults to maintain their independence and achieve positive outcomes within their local communities.
The Role
You will manage a varied caseload and undertake a broad range of adult social work duties, including:
- Care Act Assessments and Reviews
- Person-centred Support Planning
- Mental Capacity Assessments
- Section 42 Safeguarding Enquiries
- Continuing Healthcare (CHC) and Section 117 work
- Partnership working with health professionals and external agencies
- Promoting independence through a strengths-based approach
- Supporting adults within the community to access the right services and support networks
You will work with a range of service users, including:
- Older Adults
- Adults with Physical Disabilities
- Adults with Learning Disabilities
- Adults with Mental Health Needs

About You
To be considered for this role, you will have:
- Social Work England registration
- A recognised Social Work qualification
- Strong knowledge of current adult social care legislation and guidance
- Experience undertaking assessments, reviews, and care management responsibilities
- Excellent communication and partnership-working skills
- A full UK driving licence
- A commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred practice
