Description
Lead the day-to-day processing of candidate malpractice cases, combining careful investigation, sound judgement and accurate communication within a regulated qualifications environment.
Also known in the market as: Process Leader; Investigations Leader; Casework Leader; Operations Process Lead.
About the Role
Pearson is looking for an Advanced Associate, Professional Services to join the Candidate Malpractice team within Qualification Processing. The team investigates reports from centres and examiners, resolves candidate cases and ensures outcomes are handled consistently, accurately and in line with regulatory guidance.
This is a hands-on process leadership role. You will investigate cases, determine appropriate outcomes, produce formal correspondence, monitor management information and help allocate work across permanent and temporary colleagues. You will lead through confidence, judgement and organisation rather than formal direct reports.
The work is deadline-driven and detail-critical. You will balance several priorities, communicate on sensitive issues and help improve processes while maintaining a high standard of accuracy.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
