Whitehall Resources require an Advanced Blue Prism Developer to work with a key client on a 6 month initial contract.
*This role will require on site work in Manchester or Iverness 5 days per week.
*Inside IR35.
Advanced Blue Prism Developer
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Advanced Blue Prism Developer to design, develop, and implement complex robotic process automation (RPA) solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Blue Prism's capabilities, best practices, and advanced features. This role requires the ability to translate intricate business requirements into efficient and robust automation processes, troubleshoot complex issues, and mentor junior team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and deploy advanced Blue Prism automations for complex business processes.
- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements for RPA solutions.
- Apply advanced Blue Prism design principles and best practices to create scalable, maintainable, and efficient automation solutions.
- Develop and implement reusable objects and libraries within Blue Prism.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to Blue Prism automations.
- Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance to junior developers.
- Optimize existing automations for performance and efficiency.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest Blue Prism features, functionalities, and industry trends.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of RPA development standards and processes.
- Participate in solution design sessions and provide technical expertise.
- Manage incidents, service requests, and changes through ServiceNow or other ITIL-aligned service management platforms.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Advanced proficiency in Blue Prism: Demonstrated experience in developing sophisticated automations, including the use of advanced object-oriented design principles, exception handling strategies, and audit logging.
- Blue Prism Solution Design: Proven ability to design and architect robust, scalable, and maintainable RPA solutions.
- Process Design and Documentation: Strong understanding of process mapping, requirement gathering, and technical design documentation.
- Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) Concepts: Solid understanding of OOP principles and their application in Blue Prism development.
- Exception Handling and Error Management: Expertise in designing and implementing comprehensive exception handling mechanisms.
- Debugging and Troubleshooting: Advanced skills in debugging and resolving complex issues within Blue Prism processes.
- Integration Skills: Experience integrating Blue Prism with various applications, APIs, and databases.
- Version Control: Familiarity with version control systems for managing Blue Prism process assets.
- Agile Methodologies: Experience working in an Agile development environment.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and creatively.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Blue Prism Professional Developer Certification.
- Experience with Blue Prism's advanced features such as Decision, Swarm, and Work Queues.
- Knowledge of other RPA tools and technologies.
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for RPA.
- Scripting languages (e.g., VBScript, Python) for advanced automation needs.
- Experience in mentoring or leading a team of RPA developers.
Other:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with capability to handle complex requirements.
- Ability to work independently while providing guidance to junior colleagues.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Availability to work onsite in office in Manchester or Inverness (5 working days per week).
- Hours of service are 07:00 to 19:00 and team will operate separate shifts to cover this period.
- On-call support for P1 / P2 incidents will be shared across the support team.
