Cardiac Physiologist/Cardiac Scientist Specialising in Echocardiography

We are looking to recruit a qualified Cardiac Physiologist/Cardiac Scientist specialising in Echocardiography; to join our friendly and established team.

About the Role

This is an exciting time to join our busy Cardio-Respiratory Department. QEH has recently welcomed 2 additional cardiologists. We are looking for an enthusiastic and aspirational individual to help us develop echo services for West Norfolk.

Key Responsibilities

  • Independent Practitioner: You will be expected to be an independent practitioner in Adult Transthoracic Echocardiography and to participate in specialised procedures such as TOE, Stress Echo, and Contrast/Bubble Studies, working closely with the Cardiologists.
  • Diagnostic Tests: The successful applicant will also be able to perform a variety of diagnostic tests provided by the department.
  • Teaching and Mentoring: Applicants should be able to demonstrate extensive expertise within echocardiography, have excellent communication, time management and interpersonal skills with a willingness to participate in teaching, training, and mentoring at all levels.
  • Continuous Development: Continuation of professional development within the role is essential. Newly qualified staff will be supported to develop experience and gain additional competencies required. Professional and personal development are encouraged.
