About the Role

The Bolton Mental Health Directorate has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to apply for this role, to improve the service delivery within the Inpatient Mental Health Unit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the Clinical and Operational Team: Ensure high quality, recovery-focused care is delivered to our service users.
  • Caseload Management: Hold a caseload and lead assessment, formulation, and prescribing of care/treatment planning, including discharge planning within agreed protocols and procedures.
  • Multidisciplinary Team Support: Be an integral part of the Multi Disciplinary Team supporting clinical decision making and supporting the service pathways.
  • Seamless Pathway Support: Support with providing a seamless pathway within the inpatient services.
  • Practice and Service Developments: May additionally lead on practice and service developments.
  • Clinical and Practice Expertise: Demonstrate clinical and practice expertise via interventions, supervision, and modelling good practice.
  • Education and Training: Contribute to an inpatient Mental Health Team education and training programme across the inpatient teams within Bolton.
  • On Call Rota Participation: Participate in the BOC/BOS on Call rota.

Job Requirements

  • Advanced Practice: Provide advanced and expert level of practice (including non-medical prescribing) within the adult inpatient unit leading to improved patient outcomes.
  • Service Improvement: Support the clinical and operational team to deliver on service improvements in the quality of care and safety through service development, evaluation, and audit.
