Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) | The Light Surgery, Leeds | 20 Hours per Week (0.5 WTE)

Practise at the top of your scope in a thriving city-centre GP practice.

Are you an experienced Advanced Clinical Practitioner looking for a role where you can work autonomously while being part of a supportive, forward-thinking multidisciplinary team?

The Light Surgery is seeking an Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join our well-established practice in the heart of Leeds. This is an excellent opportunity to use your advanced clinical assessment, diagnostic and prescribing skills to deliver high-quality patient care while helping shape the future of primary care.

You'll independently assess, diagnose and manage patients presenting with a wide range of primary care needs, making autonomous clinical decisions and providing safe, evidence-based care. Working alongside experienced GPs, Practice Nurses, Wellbeing Advisors, Clinical Coders and other healthcare professionals, you'll play a key role in delivering outstanding care to our diverse patient population.

We are looking for an experienced clinician who enjoys working independently, thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about delivering excellent patient outcomes. Main Responsibilities

As An Advanced Clinical Practitioner, You Will

  • Independently assess, diagnose, treat and manage patients within your scope of practice.
  • Make autonomous clinical decisions using advanced assessment and clinical reasoning skills.
  • Prescribe safely and effectively as an Independent Prescriber.
  • Deliver high-quality, patient-centred care within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Contribute to clinical leadership, governance and the continuous development of services.
  • Support colleagues through collaborative working and the sharing of knowledge and expertise.
  • Help drive innovation and service improvement within the practice.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Hold current NMC, HCPC or GPhC registration with no restrictions.
  • Hold a Master's degree in Advanced Clinical Practice (Level 7, 180 credits), or equivalent Level 7 ACP qualifications that demonstrates achievement across the four pillars of Advanced Clinical Practice; recognised modules in Advanced Physical Assessment and Research is essential.
  • Be a qualified Independent Prescriber.
  • Have experience working as an Advanced Clinical Practitioner within primary care.
  • Be confident managing complete episodes of patient care autonomously.
  • Demonstrate excellent clinical reasoning and sound decision-making skills.
  • Be an effective communicator with a compassionate, patient-centred approach.
  • Demonstrate flexibility, professionalism and a commitment to continuous learning.
  • Be able to positively influence and support colleagues within the multidisciplinary team.
