About the Role
We are seeking an exceptional Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) / Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) to join our high-end private medical clinic. Role Overview
An Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP/ACP) is a highly skilled, autonomous clinician responsible for assessing, diagnosing, treating and discharging patients presenting with acute illnesses and minor injuries.
The ACP/ANP works independently, ordering and interpreting investigations including blood tests and X-rays, prescribing medications where appropriate, and providing evidence-based treatment plans.
The ACP/ANP practises clinical autonomy when managing patients presenting with a wide range of illnesses, injuries and ailments, working within established clinical governance frameworks. They will follow national and local evidence-based guidelines, exercising sound clinical judgement when seeking specialist medical, surgical or orthopaedic opinion or proceeding with definitive treatment within their scope of practice.
The ACP/ANP is authorised to discharge patients independently, without reference to a medical clinician, where this falls within agreed clinical governance limits.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage an autonomous caseload of patients presenting with urgent care needs, including both adults and children.
- Assess, diagnose and treat a wide range of minor illnesses and be competent in assessing and managing minor injuries.
- Perform comprehensive clinical assessments, including physical examinations.
- Request, interpret and act upon investigations including X-rays and laboratory results.
- Independently prescribe medications within scope of practice.
- Make appropriate referrals to secondary care or specialist services when required.
- Safely discharge patients with clear management plans and follow-up advice.
- Recognise and appropriately manage the deteriorating or seriously unwell adult or child.
- Deliver evidence-based care using current clinical guidelines and best practice.
- Maintain accurate, contemporaneous clinical documentation in accordance with NMC and professional standards.
- Participate in continuing professional development to maintain advanced clinical competence.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and external healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient care.

Essential Requirements
- Registered Nurse or Registered Paramedic with current NMC or HCPC registration.
- Qualified Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) or Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP).
- Postgraduate qualification (PGCert, PGDip or Master's level) in Advanced Clinical Practice or equivalent.
- Independent Prescriber qualification.
- Extensive experience managing both minor illnesses and minor injuries.
- Minimum of 2–5 years' experience working within an Urgent Care Centre (UCC), Minor Injuries Unit or Emergency Department.
- Confident in requesting and interpreting X-rays and laboratory investigations.
- Excellent clinical assessment, diagnostic and prescribing skills.
- Current knowledge of evidence-based practice and professional standards.
