The Role
As an Advanced Critical Care Practitioner within NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, you will play a pivotal role in delivering expert patient-centred care within Intensive Care at Glasgow Royal Infirmary.
You will work in a highly skilled Multidisciplinary Team managing complex patient pathways with a high level of autonomy, participating in assessment, diagnosis and treatment. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your clinical practice and you will be supported to continue your professional development including structured learning pathways for trainee candidates.
To apply you must be a Registered Nurse with the NMC or Allied Health Professional registered with the HCPC and eligible to undertake a non-medical prescribing qualification.
You must possess significant Critical Care experience. You should have evidence of clinical practice development including or working towards a Masters qualification. Independent prescribing qualification V300 is a requirement of the role and candidates must possess this or demonstrate willingness to achieve within an agreed timeframe. In addition to experience of autonomous clinical decision-making and managing patient needs, this role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and influence within the Multidisciplinary Team.
Commitment to continuous professional development and participation in education, research and audit is essential.

Duration, Location, and Working Pattern
There are 2x permanent, full-time posts of 36 hours available.
The role is based at Glasgow Royal Infirmary.
The shift pattern is 24-hour rotational.
