Downwell Group is seeking an experienced Advanced Demolition Operative (Topman) to join our growing demolition team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and reliable demolition professional with a strong understanding of demolition techniques, safety standards and site operations.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting demolition projects, working safely and efficiently as part of a professional site team. We are looking for a good all-round demolition operative who can demonstrate experience, professionalism and a positive attitude. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, safety-conscious and capable of supporting a wide range of demolition activities on site.

Type: Full-Time, Self-Employed
Rate: Competitive
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out demolition works safely and efficiently in accordance with project requirements.
- Work closely with site supervisors, machine operators and demolition teams.
- Undertake soft strip, structural alteration and general demolition activities.
- Maintain a strong commitment to site health, safety and environmental standards.
- Support the safe operation of machinery and equipment where authorised and qualified.
- Assist with site set-up, material segregation and clearance activities.
- Ensure all work is completed to the highest professional standards.
Requirements
- CCDO Advanced Demolition Operative (Blue Card) or above.
- A minimum of 5 years’ demolition experience.
- Strong practical knowledge of demolition methods and procedures.
- A proactive approach to health and safety.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Excellent reliability and work ethic.

Desirable
- Machine Driver Ticket.
- Experience working alongside demolition plant and machinery.
- Experience on a variety of demolition and enabling works projects.
