An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Advanced Nurse Practitioner for the Acute Surgical Receiving Unit at Ninewells, a large teaching hospital in Dundee. The successful applicant will be a forward thinking, proactive nurse, who has experience in a relevant specialty at a senior level. You will have a passion for delivering exemplary care to all patients and for striving to push the boundaries of traditional roles.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Help provide a leadership role for a team of Nurse Practitioners whilst being an integral part of the multi-disciplinary team.
- Provide advanced clinical skills and decision making by assessing, diagnosing, planning and implementing evidence-based care for patients presenting with undifferentiated and undiagnosed unscheduled surgical care needs.
- Strive for excellence in autonomous practice within a caring, responsive and friendly team and organisation.

Requirements:
- Essential: Completed the Clinical Assessment Module (SCQF Level 11) and completed or working towards the Non-Medical Prescribing Module associated to the role.
- Essential: Evidence of continual professional development within an appropriate clinical setting.
- Desirable: Extensive experience in more than one speciality.
- Essential: Experience at Band 6 level.
- Essential: Registered on the UK NMC register.

Hours of Work:
- 36 hours pro rata based upon 12 hour shift pattern over seven days a week.
