Advanced On-sit Technician - Wakefield

We are looking for a Mobile Engineer to join our Enterprise & Project Services team. The role involves supporting customer hardware across a wide range of technologies and vendor platforms, including Fujitsu, Juniper, HPE, Cisco, Meraki, Brocade, Dell, and NetApp.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering Break-Fix support, installations, moves, additions, and changes (IMAC) to customer IT infrastructure, ensuring a high standard of service and customer satisfaction. Experience with storage solutions would be advantageous.

This is a field-based role primarily covering the Midlands, with nationwide travel required as business needs dictate. A company vehicle will be provided.
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, customer-focused, and capable of working both independently and as part of a wider team in a dynamic technical environment.
An important aspect of this role is daily interaction with end users, support teams, project managers, and service managers. The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues across the organisation to ensure customer satisfaction is maintained and team objectives are achieved. We are looking for a proactive team player who can apply their technical knowledge and practical judgement, confidently identify and escalate risks, and contribute effective solutions.
Key Skills And Attributes
- Knowledge of LAN, WAN, and Wi-Fi networking technologies (relevant accreditations desirable, although training will be provided).
- Willingness to take ownership and responsibility for tasks and outcomes.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to perform effectively under pressure.
- Excellent attention to detail when planning and managing daily workloads.
- Full UK driving licence.
