Job Opportunity for a Forward-Thinking Physiotherapist

About the Role
We can support you to develop your clinical expertise in an Advanced Practitioner role within our MSK Physiotherapy service. Whilst our Advanced practitioner job description is consistent for all, we have a variety of roles with different bias supported by job plans, in team leadership, education, first contact GP, Orthopaedics, MSK rehabilitation, and Accident and Emergency. These clinical roles are enhanced with opportunities to develop in education, digital technology, research, service delivery planning, or health promotion.
This particular post is providing Advanced Practice Physiotherapy / First Contact Physiotherapy clinics in General Practice. You must have an excellent knowledge base regarding the management of musculoskeletal conditions and previous experience at highly specialist, clinical specialist, or advanced practice physiotherapy level. Injection therapy and prescribing qualifications would be desirable, however, training in these areas can be provided. You will be motivated, possess excellent communication skills, and work well as part of the general practice multi-disciplinary team. You will have the opportunity to lead transformative initiatives and be a cultural architect for the future in Fife.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Advanced Practice Physiotherapy / First Contact Physiotherapy clinics in General Practice.
- Have an excellent knowledge base regarding the management of musculoskeletal conditions.
- Have previous experience at highly specialist, clinical specialist, or advanced practice physiotherapy level.
- Be motivated and possess excellent communication skills.
- Work well as part of the general practice multi-disciplinary team.
- Lead transformative initiatives and be a cultural architect for the future in Fife.

Support and Development
We will support you to influence outpatient musculoskeletal service developments and we are creating new and innovative roles to move the service forward and support the people of Fife. The clinical and non-clinical balance is generous and flexible. We will provide you with a mentor and supervisor and time to learn. Support is also provided in-house for continuing learning both in person and virtually. Study leave is available and support for external courses and further education, including injection therapy, non-medical prescribing, and NES fellowship applications are considered and supported, where appropriate. You will receive guidance from the Consultant Physiotherapist, Advanced Practice, and other Team Lead Physiotherapists.

Our musculoskeletal physiotherapy service is well established, with strong collaborative working across MSK Physiotherapy, General Practice, and Orthopaedic Outpatient Services.
