Advanced Practitioner – 16+ Team – Grade 9
Salary: £54,267 - £58,461 per annum
Team: 16+ Team
Working alongside the Team Manager, you will manage a complex caseload, support and mentor colleagues, champion high-quality safeguarding practice, and contribute to service improvement and development.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage complex safeguarding and child protection cases.
- Supervise, coach and mentor Social Workers, ASYEs and students.
- Chair complex meetings and contribute to safeguarding decision-making.
- Prepare high-quality reports for Court and Child Protection Conferences.
- Support practice development and service improvement.
- Build effective partnerships with children, families and partner agencies.
- Deputise for the Team Manager when required.
About You
You will have:
- A recognised Social Work qualification and Social Work England registration.
- Significant experience in statutory Children's Social Care.
- Strong safeguarding, child protection and court experience.
- Excellent assessment, analytical and decision-making skills.
- Experience of supervising or mentoring others.
- Good knowledge of children's legislation and safeguarding practice.
