Liquid Personnel is recruiting experienced Advanced Practitioners to join its client’s Pre-Birth Team based in Middlesbrough. These are full-time agency roles offering a competitive rate of pay, providing an opportunity to work within a specialist service focused on safeguarding unborn babies and supporting families during pregnancy to achieve the best possible outcomes for children.

About the Role

As an Advanced Practitioner within the Pre-Birth Team, you will play a vital leadership role in safeguarding unborn children and supporting families through assessment, planning, and intervention during pregnancy. You will manage complex cases, provide expert practice guidance to colleagues, and work collaboratively with multi-agency partners to reduce risk and improve outcomes for children before birth.

What will your responsibilities be?

  • Managing a complex caseload involving pre-birth assessments, safeguarding concerns, and child protection planning.
  • Undertaking comprehensive assessments and developing robust plans to safeguard unborn babies and support families.
  • Providing practice leadership, mentoring, and support to less experienced social workers.
  • Working closely with midwives, health professionals, and partner agencies to assess risk and coordinate interventions.
  • Participating in strategy discussions, child protection conferences, and legal planning meetings.
  • Preparing high-quality assessments, reports, and court documentation where required.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in line with statutory guidance and professional standards.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
