Advanced Specialist, Content Development (Science)


Shape the future of science education

Are you a science education specialist looking for an opportunity to make a lasting impact beyond the classroom? This is a rare chance to play a leading role in the development of the next generation of GCSE and A Level Science qualifications during a major reform programme that could influence science education for years to come.

At Pearson, you will work at the heart of qualification development, collaborating with subject experts, assessment specialists and stakeholders across the business to design innovative, accessible and market-leading science qualifications.

About the role

As an Advanced Specialist, Content Development, you will project manage the design, development and accreditation of GCSE and A Level Science qualifications and sample assessment materials from concept through to launch. You will play a key role in supporting the ongoing science reform programme, helping to create qualifications that are relevant, accessible and designed to meet the needs of today's learners and teachers.

What you will be doing

  • Leading qualification and assessment development projects from concept through to accreditation and launch.
  • Managing the creation of assessment materials in partnership with subject experts and assessment associates.
  • Driving collaboration across multiple business functions.
  • Championing accessible, inclusive and learner-centred qualification design.
  • Representing Pearson at customer events and workshops.
  • Embedding AI tools and innovative approaches.

Location
