About the Role
You’ll join a snack-loving team at KP Snacks, ready to bring ideas to the table, grow your skills, and thrive in an environment that values your diversity. As an Advanced Team Member, you’ll play a key role in ensuring smooth, safe, and efficient operations across the factory line.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Subject Matter Expertise: Become an expert on your assigned equipment, ensuring it’s maintained safely and performs optimally for high-quality, efficient production.
- Process Improvement: Use problem-solving tools, daily management systems, and the IWS ways of working to reduce waste, eliminate losses, and drive continuous improvement.
- Training & Coaching: Support colleagues by training them to operate, maintain, and understand their equipment safely and confidently.
This is a hands-on, responsible role ideal for those who take pride in their work, enjoy problem-solving, and seek to expand their skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Equipment Mastery:
- Ensure your assigned machinery remains in peak operating condition, prioritising safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Quality & Compliance:
- Conduct testing procedures, verify production consistency against quality standards, and maintain strict hygiene and housekeeping.
- Identify and resolve performance issues to minimise waste and downtime.
- Problem-Solving & Consistency:
- Apply structured tools to diagnose and rectify technical problems.
- Apply IWS principles to guide team efforts toward unbroken production flow.
- Team & Training:
- Coach colleagues to follow safe work practices, operate equipment efficiently, and recognise opportunities for improvement.
- Team Collaboration:
- Communicate clearly via the Shift Board to facilitate cross-team coordination.
- Collaborate with the team to achieve line targets and maintenance objectives.

Requirements
Here’s what we’d love to see in our candidates:
- Experience in: Manufacturing or food production (this is highly desirable, though extensive training will be provided).
- Basic Literacy & Numeracy Skills: The ability to follow instructions, record data, and understand processes accurately.
- Ownership & Accountability: Take initiative to identify and resolve issues without waiting to be asked.
- Proactive Mindset: Approach challenges with a problem-solving attitude to drive improvements.
- Attention to Detail: Ensure accuracy and compliance to uphold safety, quality, and efficiency.
