The Vacancy
Job Title: Advanced Technician - Materials
Location: Workshop
Job Type: Permanent
Working hours: 36 Hours per week (Fully Flexible Working Week)
Salary: £30,000 - 35,000 per annum

The Role
Here you can provide an overview of the role and its level of influence and authority in the organisation. Tell the candidate who they will be reporting to. Main Responsibilities:
- Supporting the materials team, primarily the Netshape manufacturing section for the MTC workshop.
- Carrying out tasks across the materials team using a wide range of equipment to support the research theme and wider materials team within the MTC and external customers to the MTC.

Continuous Improvement (CI)

- Helps to maintain the 5S standard within the workshop, challenging those who do not.
Person Specification
Essential Skills/Qualifications/Experience
- Welding experience/knowledge
- Strong assembly skills
- Experience/knowledge in vacuum systems
Desirable Skills/Qualifications/Experience
- Powder handling experience
- HIP knowledge/experience
- Heat treatment experience
