About Grace Academy
Grace Academy, a classical Christian school in Georgetown, Texas, is seeking a highly organized, creative, and collaborative Advancement & Communications Assistant to join our team.
This position works closely with the Director of Advancement to support the communications, admissions, development, and community-building efforts of Grace Academy. The ideal candidate is someone who genuinely enjoys making things happen—someone who notices the details, communicates well, takes initiative, and thrives as part of a team.
Because this role touches nearly every part of school life, a love for the mission and community of Grace Academy is essential. A current or former Grace parent, alum, or someone with an existing connection to the Grace community would be especially well suited for the role.
What You'll Do
Communications & Marketing
- Create attractive, on-brand graphics and marketing materials for school events, fundraising initiatives, admissions events, and other school programs.
- Manage Grace Academy's social media presence, primarily Facebook and Instagram, including photography, writing, content creation, and scheduling.
- Write and edit engaging content for newsletters, admissions communications, donor relations, and other school publications.
- Prepare and design Grace Academy's weekly school newsletter, coordinating announcements, important dates, calendar information, and school news through Finalsite.
- Help maintain consistency and accuracy across school communications.

Events & Advancement
- Work alongside the Director of Advancement to plan and execute school events, fundraising initiatives, admissions events, and community activities.
- Help manage the many behind-the-scenes details that make events successful—from communications and timelines to signage, materials, guest lists, and follow-up.
- Support Advancement initiatives designed to strengthen enrollment, philanthropy, and community engagement.
- Coordinate with faculty, staff, parents, volunteers, and vendors as needed.
Organization & Team Support
- Maintain detailed calendars, deadlines, communication schedules, and project timelines.
- Keep multiple projects moving simultaneously and follow through on details without requiring constant oversight.
- Anticipate needs, identify missing pieces, and help the Advancement team stay organized and ahead of deadlines.
- Approach the work with flexibility, positivity, discretion, and a willingness to jump in wherever needed.
Who We're Looking For
The strongest candidate will be someone who is
- Exceptionally detail-oriented and organized
- A strong writer and communicator
- Creative, with a good eye for design and visual storytelling
- Comfortable taking initiative and owning projects from start to finish
- Able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Collaborative, positive, and enjoyable to work alongside
- Comfortable interacting with parents, faculty, students, donors, and prospective families
- Familiar with social media platforms and basic content strategy
- Experienced with photography and comfortable capturing school life and events
- Committed to Grace Academy's Christian mission and supportive of classical Christian education

Preferred Experience
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, graphic design, or a related field
- 2–3 years of experience in communications, marketing, advancement, nonprofit work, education, or a similar role
- Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Finalsite, HubSpot, or similar platforms
- Photography experience
- Graphic design experience
- Experience working in a school, church, nonprofit, or other mission-driven organization is a plus
- Technical or web experience is a bonus
Position Details
- 20–30 hours per week
- Primarily on-campus, with some work-from-home flexibility
- Schedule may occasionally include evening school events
- Compensation commensurate with experience
